Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-draft
These terms are an agreement between you and MyCleanPay, LLC ("MyCleanPay", "we", "us"), a Missouri limited liability company. They cover your use of mycleanpay.com and our services. Part A applies to everyone, Part B to members who pay, and Part C to houses that receive payments. By using MyCleanPay you agree to them.
Part A: Everyone
1. What MyCleanPay is
MyCleanPay is software that lets recovery houses and similar homes ("houses") take fees, dues and fines from their members online. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe"). Each house has its own Stripe account, and when a member pays, the payment is made to the house's account. MyCleanPay does not receive, hold or transfer member payments; we receive only our service fee. The house, not MyCleanPay, is the business the member is paying.
2. What MyCleanPay is not
We don't set a house's fees, fines or rules, and we don't decide who owes what. We are not a party to any agreement between a member and a house. We don't provide treatment, housing, legal or financial services, and we are not a bank.
3. Eligibility and accurate information
You must be at least 18 years old. Give accurate information, and use MyCleanPay only for lawful payments you are authorized to make or receive.
4. Things you may not do
- Use a card, bank account or wallet you aren't authorized to use.
- Make payments to test stolen cards, or file chargebacks for payments you made or authorized.
- Interfere with the service, get around its security or limits, or use it to harass anyone.
- Enter health, treatment or other sensitive information in any field. We don't need it.
We may limit, suspend or end access to protect members, houses or MyCleanPay, including blocking a phone number or device from paying.
5. Stripe
Payment processing is provided by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Members use Stripe's checkout to pay; houses agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement, when they connect their account.
6. Disclaimers
MyCleanPay is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will always be available or free of errors.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MyCleanPay is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the service fees you paid to MyCleanPay in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if that is greater. MyCleanPay is not responsible for a house's fees, fines, refunds, rules or decisions.
8. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. If a dispute arises, please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Greene County, Missouri, and you and MyCleanPay agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to a payment is the one shown when the payment was made; we record that version with each payment. Continuing to use MyCleanPay after a change means you accept it.
Part B: Members
10. Paying your house
You choose what to pay from your house's list: a weekly fee (for the current week and up to three weeks ahead), an application fee, or a fine. Your receipt shows what the payment covers. The house's own records decide what you owe; MyCleanPay doesn't track balances.
11. The service fee
Each payment includes a MyCleanPay service fee, shown before you pay. It depends on how you pay: currently $2.00 by bank account and $4.50 by card, Cash App Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Current amounts are on the pricing page.
12. Refunds
Refunds of house fees and fines are decided by your house under its own rules. The service fee is refunded only if the payment went wrong because of a MyCleanPay error, such as a duplicate charge caused by our software.
13. Problems with a payment
If a payment looks wrong, contact us with the reference on your receipt. Bank payments take a few business days to clear, and a payment that fails or is returned is not a payment to your house.
14. Remembering you
If you pay from a phone, it remembers your name, number and payment method so the next payment is quicker. Tap "Not you?" to clear it, especially on a shared phone.
Part C: Houses
15. Signing up
A house's account is opened by its owner: the landlord, operator or a stable representative who can legally act for the house. The owner connects a Stripe account and bank account and is responsible for the house's use of MyCleanPay. We review houses before they can take payments and may decline any house.
16. Free for the house
MyCleanPay charges houses nothing. Stripe's processing fees are paid from each payment, and the house receives the amount each member chose to pay, as described on the pricing page.
17. The house's responsibilities
- Setting its own fees, fines and refund rules, and following the laws and agreements that apply to the house.
- Refunds, chargebacks and disputes on payments made to the house, which are handled on the house's Stripe account.
- Its own taxes and records. MyCleanPay provides a weekly statement for each payout.
- Who it gives access to. Officers can be given read-only access and removed at any time by the owner.
18. Ending
A house can stop using MyCleanPay at any time. We may suspend or close a house's access for misuse, risk or inactivity; inactive houses are archived after six months without payments and can be restored. Records are kept as described in the privacy policy.
